The whole reason he wrote 6-11 is to explain what it means to have the mind of Christ and to explain the results of having this mind. In verses 6-8, Paul explains the humility of Christ. The phrase the same mind (hina 106 to auto phronete) occurs in Paul four times (Rom 12:16; 15:5; 2 Cor 13:11; Phil 4:2).
